Photosynthesis

In Bijie Ren Ph.D program, he tried to build a very preliminary pipeline to discover-model-engineer novel microorganism. By improving such methods in future, it's possible to decompose high-dimensional bio data and understand the fundamental mechanism of the cell system. Meanwhile, it's super interesting to study the coral-algae symbiont system, which is critical to maintain ocean ecosystems, and extract useful information to build a simple cell factory from higher multicellular organisms.  Outside of his work, he likes photography, traveling, and tennis. Fascinated by complex systems in nature, Bijie Ren would like to explore how a cell system or stock market works to maintain their homeostasis, and how it grows and collapses.
