Yizhan Guo earned his B.S. in Food Bioengineering from China Agricultural University. He is doing research in the Ludington Lab while completing his course-based master’s program in Biotechnology. He is purifying four subdomains of Serine-rich Repeat Proteins from L. plantarum and examining their binding function to Drosophila gut tissues.
The Ludington Lab investigates basic ecological principles in the context of gnotobiotic Drosophila melanogaster microbiomes in order to understand the complicated and often complex relationship between microbiome and host.
